Meet Gina Romero - NEW Owner of Brown Bear Real Estate
Gina was born and raised in King County, Washington, and moved to Kitsap County with her husband after they married. She served the greater Puget Sound Area as a real estate agent working out of RE/MAX Town and Country before moving to Republic in 2019 to start a farm with her family and to further her real estate career. Some of Gina’s hobbies when she isn’t showing and selling homes is gardening, horseback riding with her family, beekeeping, hiking, and hunting.
Gina has just purchased Brown Bear Real Estate. In order to offer more to the community while still maintaining the small town feel, friendliness, and history the firm is so well known for, one of Gina’s short term goals for the company is to transition the company from Brown Bear Real Estate, independent firm, to RE/MAX Brown Bear, franchise. RE/MAX has more than 45 years of outstanding agents and outstanding results with over 120,000 agents in more than 100 countries and territories and is a diverse network of professionals who work together across borders and cultures in the spirit of sharing success. Nobody else in the world sells more real estate than RE/MAX, which has now grown to over 100,000 agents in nearly 100 countries.

Meet Arleen Tolliver
Arleen was born and raised in Ferry County and her roots run deep with family homesteads in the area. The Tollivers owned property close to the Canadian border by Laurier and the Eslick family farmed a 300 acre ranch above Orient. After graduating out of Civil Engineering Technology in Spokane, WA in 1981, Arleen was recruited by Valley Title Guarantee and began a career in the title industry that lasted over 37 years. And, many of you will know Arleen from Columbia Title & Escrow or from the Stevens County Assessor's office. Arleen absolutely loves living and working in Ferry County. Her knowledge of the title and escrow side of real estate will prove to be a real asset to her new clients at Brown Bear Real Estate.
Meet Diana Brown
Diana’s professional career started in banking. She then became a licensed real estate agent in 1991 and is currently licensed in both Washington State and California.
Diana first purchased property in Ferry County in 1998. She was drawn to the area by friends who lived on the Kettle River. The attraction to the area began as a place where she could go to enjoy an outdoor lifestyle with little regulation and few people. It later grew into an appreciation of a small community that was dedicated to what some may call “old-fashioned values.” Values that say a person’s word is as good as gold.
The Ferry County community is focused on its most important asset; its schools and children. The community literally revolves around its “junior” citizens. Whether it’s a 4-H show, an annual county fair or an ongoing school program, these activities are well attended and the kid’s achievements are enthusiastically celebrated.
One of the most delightful aspects of Ferry County is that you know your neighbors. And, while you may not always agree, you can always count on them to be there for you; no matter what.
So, this combination of a small-town community, loads of fresh air, clean water, and abundant wildlife is why Diana is a truly “at home” in Ferry County. She resides in a home on the Kettle River with her Sweetheart Ron, dogs Buddy and Sweet Pea and a crazy feline named Bonita (aka Chez-Whiz).
Meet Ron Piekaar
Ron has lived in Ferry County since 1999. After retiring as a licensed general contractor and a certified pre-purchase building inspector for the real estate industry in southern California, Ron bought a little cabin on the Kettle River in Curlew. He remodeled it into a beautiful home. Ron likes to keep active and enjoys helping people so he got his real estate license and went back to work! Ron is happily married and has two miniature Dachshunds. Off hours are spent golfing, and RV camping with family and friends. He enjoys helping people find the property of their dreams and has a special knack for structuring offers that get accepted. Stop by the office and make a new friend.
